So I am guessing everyone has suffered lately with the mysterious girls who follow you? the slightly chavvy names and a year, which I guess is supposed to signify when they were born? Occasionally they have a single tweet, a blog post somewhere with what I guess is supposed to be an alluring title? well they are bugging me...
I like twitter because I have enough followers that I feel some sort of connection, and I follow people I find interesting and funny. Until now every follower felt like an achievement, of course there are occasions when you use a certain word and people flock to you but they evaporate when they realise by Bike Porn you actually meant a new saddle from Selle Italia...
I guess my gripe is that these people are trying to make money from something where I have to so consciously opt in, something nice and simple, do they think I am stupid enough to just follow someone in the hope of some smutty liaison? I know there are hordes of people out there who do and I am glad Twitter seems to boot these people before they become a nuisance, I just hope it doesn't ruin the whole thing...
